DEX prevails in 8 way tie, claims week 8

By The Swami Football Guru

Jeff "I was born in PA but for some bizarre reason like the Cowboys better than the Steelers" Poindexter won a wild eight person tie-breaker to hoist the week eight Swami Cup.

Dex edged notables such as the Super Swami, Skyking, Beth "Sea" Trout, Dan "one night" Fling, John "Hitman" Hearn, Oscar "O-Train Rolling" Thompson and Ron "Pats Fan" Desautels who all matched the misguided Cowboy fans 10-3 mark.

This week saw the Ravens knock the Broncos from the ranks of the undefeated; the Rams break into the win column against the one win Mowtown Kittens and in his return to Lambeau Field, Brett Farve and his Vikes defeated his longtime employer the Green bay Slackers.

Breaking news, Washington Redskins coach Jim Zorn is contemplating retirement due to illness and fatigue. Their fans are sick and tired of watching him.

This week's "cellar dweller dunce cap" award goes to one of my favorite players, Amanda King. This pallet building, K-loader driving, hard-charging Pennsylvania Dutchess stumbled, fumbled and bumbled her way to the week's low mark of 7-6. The Swami is enrolling her in his mandatory Football 101 class so she can right her ship.

Send picks to 437mxs.swami@charleston.af.mil. This week is the beginning of the Thursday night games, so have your picks in prior to that kickoff to receive credit for that game.
