U.S. military conducts airstrikes against ISIL, JB Charleston C-17s airdrop humanitarian aid

Senior Airman Jon Woerzburger, 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, C-17 Globemaster III flying crew chief, awaits engine start prior to a humanitarian airdrop mission over Amirli, Iraq, Aug. 30, 2014. The two C-17s dropped 79 container delivery system bundles of fresh drinking water totaling 7,513 gallons. As Sailors make the transition to the rank of chief petty officer (E-7), new uniforms are required and experienced chiefs serve as sponsors to the selectees, helping them pick out all the correct uniform items they will need as they begin the next step of their careers.
