Major General Kurt F Neubauer visits JB Charleston
Colonel Jeffrey DeVore, Joint Base Charleston commander, briefs Maj. Gen. Kurt Neubauer on the joint base mission capabilities, May 6, 2015, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. Neubauer is the Air Force Chief of Safety, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C., and Commander, Air Force Safety Center, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. He develops, executes and evaluates all Air Force aviation, ground, weapons, space and system mishap prevention, and nuclear surety programs to preserve combat readiness. In addition to meeting with senior leaders, Neubauer toured the 437th Aerial Port Squadron, the 437th Maintenance Squadron’s Corrosion Control Facility, the 628th Civil Engineering Squadron’s Explosives Ordnance Disposal unit as well as a tour of the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command and a windshield tour of other vital units located on the Weapons Station property.
