JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. –
The Charleston Airshow at Joint Base Charleston is set for April 20-21, 2024, promising an exceptional display of military and civilian aviation.
JB Charleston will open its gates to the public to witness “Heroes of Flight,” with the pride and precision of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration squadron, along with the U.S. Air Force Academy ‘Wings of Blue’ parachute team and a number of other military and civilian aerial demonstrations.
Attendees can explore a variety of modern and historic military aircraft and equipment on the ground, including the unique opportunity to engage with U.S. military personnel.
With a special focus on STEM education, the airshow will feature interactive activities and displays from leading aerospace companies. This initiative is aimed at inspiring the next generation to pursue a future in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
“The Charleston Community shows their love for the Military all the time and the Air Show is a big opportunity for us to show our love back,” said Col. Michael Freeman, 628th Air Base Wing and JB Charleston commander.
