NIWC Atlantic showcases ATC and Polar Program mission

Comprised of more than 14,000 personnel, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic conducts research, development, prototyping, engineering, test and evaluation, installation, and sustainment of integrated information warfare capabilities and services across all warfighting domains.

Personnel from NIWC Atlantic have provided meteorology services, air traffic control, systems engineering and maintenance, ground electronics maintenance, information technology and security and operational logistics support in Antarctica for the past 25 years.

NIWC Atlantic engineering teams also ensure the operation of more than 40 U.S. Navy and Marine sites worldwide, developing expeditionary ATC solutions for any environment.
