CHARLESTON AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. –
Staff Sgt. Justin Pratt is a data integrity team member for the 437th Maintenance Operations Squadron and has been stationed at Charleston AFB for one year.
As assistant NCO in charge of the data integrity team, he is responsible for reviewing all maintenance jobs for accuracy and completion. He reviews each submission, and makes any necessary changes before filing the information in the data collections system.
Sergeant Pratt says he realizes the benefits of good maintenance records. He is a maintenance crew chief and has been assigned to the data integrity team for one year. He now has the opportunity to see both sides of the maintenance cycle. He also says he enjoys being able to assist flightline maintenance teams by completing and properly coding flightline maintenance jobs.
"I get tremendous satisfaction seeing our C-17's maintenance jobs done correctly and on time," said Sergeant Pratt. "Aircraft maintenance records coded properly and filed correctly will enable maintenance crews the ability to identify similar problems more efficiently."
This "warrior of the week" hails from Salem, Ore., and enlisted in the Air Force eight-and-a-half years ago. He joined the Air Force six months after his first child was born because he was looking for a career that would provide him training and the opportunity to adequately raise his family. He saw the Air Force as the right place to start to help support his wife, Brook, and his two daughters, Jordyn, 6, and Brittany, 9.
"Sergeant Pratt is an exceptional NCO," said Tech. Sgt. Danny Campbell, 437 MOS NCOIC of maintenance data systems analysis. "As assistant NCOIC of the data integrity team, he has displayed a high degree of knowledge in aircraft maintenance. He consistently sets the example for his subordinates. To date, he has been my most proactive NCO to hold this position."
