CHARLESTON AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. –
Staff Sgt. Robert "Bobby" Hall is a chief inspector and quality assurance specialist for the 437th Logistics Readiness Squadron and has been stationed at Charleston for eight years.
As a chief inspector and quality assurance specialist, he assures the stock integrity of all warehouse replacement parts and that a customer is receiving the correct material and supplies. He also is responsible to track and evaluate all supply parts that are either identified incorrectly or have a history of failures and then he notifies the responsible supplier.
"I am a very detailed person and enjoy fixing problems. I thoroughly enjoy my warehouse responsibility and the times I get out of the office to interact with our base customers," said Sergeant Hall. "Fixing their problems as quickly as possible and providing the right part at the right time enables the C-17 aircraft to fly their mission on time and safely. My section must be diligent and replace the broken assets with quality parts as quickly as possible in order to keep our C-17 aircraft in the air."
This "warrior of the week" hails from Oil City, Pa., and enlisted in the Air Force more than 11 years ago. The opportunities offered by the Air Force -- career, travel, and family security -- were the motivating reasons for him to enlist. Sergeant Hall's wife, Sarah, is a staff sergeant with the 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. They have three daughters, Hope, Haleigh and Anna.
"Sergeant Hall is definitely one of the best and most driven junior noncommissioned officers in 437 LRS supply," said Master Sgt. John Medford, NCO in charge of supply accountability. "He is an awesome technician; he is an ideal fit as the supply chief inspector. He expects things to be done right and, while his uncompromising manner can be intimidating, he always takes time to help and train the young Airmen."
