CHARLESTON AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. –
The 437th Comptroller Squadron is moving to the third floor of Building 322, which has been renovated by the base simplified acquisition of base engineer requirements contractor,. A design theme was declared for the renovation: "The Color of Money". New interior finishes accompanying a modern floor plan are highlighted by striking natural lighting, providing the comptroller squadron a working environment conducive to their important function. All customer service activities will be in a central lobby accessed via the center stairway at the building's main entrance on North Davis Drive.
The move will be a welcome change from the comptroller's current office in Building 312, which was built in the 1950s and is at the end of its service life. A leaking roof and antiquated heating and air conditioning system have made the building too costly to maintain. The comptroller squadron will migrate to the new facility by functional areas. Announcements will be made as functional areas move to their new building so services provided will not be affected.
