437th Operation Support Squadron aviation resource manager

How long have you been in the Air Force?
Five-and-a-half years

How long have you been in the honor guard?
Five years

What inspired you to join the honor guard?
My supervisor at my first base inspired me to join. He was part of the honor guard early in his career and he told me about the great opportunities the honor guard presented for him.

What is your favorite aspect of the honor guard?
My favorite aspects of the honor guard would have to be the camaraderie that we share amongst each other as an organization, as well as the impact the honor guard has on the local community.

What are your future career goals?
My future goals are to retire in the next 15 years, to possibly own my own business and to become a middle school or high school basketball coach.

Who is your role model and why?
My role model is my father, Joseph Truesdale Sr., because he taught me about having great work ethic and also showed me how to be a man. That's something that's lacking in a lot of homes today and I feel blessed to have him as my father and role model.
