Nykeya Thomas won third place in the Charleston Air Mobility Command Icon talent contest here by singing "At Last" Aug. 28. The AMC Icon competition is based loosely on the "American Idol" television show. The top active-duty winner will travel to Scott AFB, Ill., in October for the command-level AMC Icon to compete for $2,000 in cash prizes, with $1,000 awarded to the first place contestant.
