CHARLESTON AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. –
John "Hitman" Hearn, a long-time Swami Cup contestant floored the competition with a blazing 12-2 record. His potent jab and vicious left hook has left his closest competitors, Beth "Rainbow" Trout (10-4) and Dan "One Night" Fling (10-4), unable to beat the referee's 10 count.
In week six action, don't "Remember the Titans" as they were torched by a hot Tom Brady and his fellow Patriots 59-0, which included a record-setting five touchdown passes in one quarter. The "Philly Cheesesteaks" laid an egg in getting beat by the "Jokeland Raiders," the woeful "Deadskins" handed another winless team their first victory and of course my beloved Steelers kept rolling towards another Super Bowl.
This week's "cellar dweller dunce cap" belongs to Alan "Beagle on a Scent" Moyer who stumbled and bumbled his way to a weekly low 6-8 mark. This particular beagle needs to get to the front of the pack as the only scent he seems to be tracking is coming from the wrong end of one directly in front of him.
As promised, here is the first look at the Swami Cup standings thus far:
John Hearn .773 Swami .690
Beth Trout .741 Brian Sommerfeldt .690
Amanda King .701 Bob Trout .672
Louis Class .701 Ron Desautels .672
Kenneth Shockley .701 Anthony Komara .672
