Each year before Halloween, the 437 AW performs a Halloween safety sendoff for local students. Along with many existing programs, this service helps to enhance the lives of those in the Air Mobility Command family and increases family safety awareness during the Year of the Air Force Family. Members of the 437th Airlift Wing Safety Office provided students passing through both the Lamb's and Hunley Park Elementary School gates free bags for collecting Halloween candy and reminded each to have a safe Halloween.
