A memorial service was held at the Charleston AFB Chapel for Airman Zwick Dec. 2.
The Tucson, Ariz., native joined the Air Force in January 2007, and attended basic military training at Lackland AFB, Texas. He then attended technical training at Sheppard AFB, Texas.
Since arriving at Charleston AFB in August 2007, Airman Zwick was motivated to learn and quickly gained the respect from his peers due to his positive attitude, said Chief Master Sgt. Craig Howell, 437 AMXS first sergeant.
"Josh was a loyal friend and trusted companion who always considered others before himself," Chief Howell said. "On- or off-duty, he epitomized the Air Force Core value of service before self. He loved his family and he loved his Air Force."
