Joint Base Charleston Airmen dies in vehicle accident

An Airman assigned to the 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Joint Base Charleston died this evening in a single car accident in Ladson, S.C.

"We send our sincerest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of the Airman who died in today's car crash," said Col. John Wood, 437th Airlift Wing commander. "Any time Team Charleston loses one of it's own, it's felt throughout the entire community here at Charleston AFB."

The name of the Airman is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

North Charleston Police is the investigating agency.
