AF announces selections to lieutenant colonel

Joint Base Charleston Public Affairs

Team Charleston would like to congratulate the following majors on their selection for promotion to lieutenant colonel.

628th Air Base Wing: Christopher Callis, Tara White and Tyr Brenner

437th Airlift Wing: Brady Caldwell, Jonathan Downing, Adam Tufts and Luther King

The 2010A lieutenant colonel Line of the Air Force-Medical Service Corps central selection board selected 1,236 majors for promotion.

The boards considered 6,272 majors. The results of the boards are as follows:

Selection statistics in-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
LAF -1,036 selected from 1,406 considered for 73.7 percent select rate
MSC - 32 selected from 46 considered for 69.6 percent select rate

Selection statistics above-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
LAF - 41 selected from 1,571 considered for 2.6 percent select rate
MSC - 6 selected from 29 considered for 20.7 percent select rate

Selection statistics below-the-promotion zone for lieutenant colonel:
LAF - 119 selected from 3,101 considered for 3.8 percent select rate
MSC - 2 selected from 119 considered for 1.7 percent select rate
