Col. Ines White and Sgt. Maj. Kelly Hill visited the U.S. Coast Guard Station Charleston's Military Outload Division May 6, and presented the Army Commendation Medal to nine Coast Guardsmen and the Army Achievement Medal to 56 others. The awards were in recognition of the Coast Guard's security boat crews collaboration with the Army Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, enabling the unit to safely move 3.5 million square feet of military cargo bound for combat operations in the Middle East.
