Remember the season of giving

By Airman 1st Class Tom Brading Joint Base Charleston Public Affairs

The First Sergeants of Joint Base Charleston want everyone to know the holiday season is about giving as much as it is receving.

The Angel Tree program is an annual event that gives servicemembers who want to make a difference, the opportunity to put a smile on the face of underprivileged children during the holiday season.

The first sergeants put up two trees, one in the JB Charleston Air Base Exchange and the other at the Base Chapel, with angel cards attached to them. Each card has the name of a child attached to it. Donors select an Angel and buy gifts for the child.

Gifts can be returned with the angel card to their unit first sergeant or Angel Tree by Dec 15.
