Power Outage Continues to Cause Closure at Naval Health Clinic Charleston

By Jeff Kelly Naval Health Clinic Charleston

Patients who use Naval Health Clinic Charleston are being advised that the main clinic and the dental clinic will remain closed due to a catastrophic power outage caused by this weekend's storms. Maintenance crews continue to work on the problem but all appointments for Tuesday, March 6 and Wednesday, March 7 have officially been canceled.

Pharmacy customers in need of emergency refills of medication can continue to be seen at the Joint Base Charleston Air Base pharmacy.

Patients needing immediate authorization for urgent health care needs can call 1-877-745-0111 for a referral. This temporary number has been set-up for the duration of the power outage.

Updated information on when the clinics will reopen will be provided on the clinic's Facebook page, website, as well as to local media. Patients may call 1-800-343-0639 ext. 5 any time to hear the latest information regarding the power outage, appointments and the clinics' status.

All Naval Health Clinic Charleston staff members who have been designated as "essential personnel" will be required to come to work on Tuesday. All non-essential civilians and contractors will be granted administrative leave; all non-essential military personnel will be granted special liberty.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this temporary disruption of service.
