The 16th Airlift Squadron guided 34 Junior Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps students from Ashley Ridge High School through an interactive tour of the squadron and C-17 Nov. 7, 2012, at Joint Base Charleston – Air Base, S.C. During the tour, students learned about components of the C-17 while getting insight on the inner workings of the mobility world. In addition to the squadron and aircraft, the cadets were exposed to the different career paths offered by the United States Air Force.
“[The tour] went really well,” said Capt. Sean Henry, 16th AS C-17 pilot. “We were able to provide insight on the Air Force Academy, ROTC, and the enlisted routes, as well as our experiences in the Air Force and our path to the C-17.”
