437th AW Airmen receive recognition
Col. Darren Hartford, 437th Airlift Wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Larry Williams (third from left) recognize a group of 20 maintainers from the 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 437th Maintenance Squadron and Boeing engineers inside a C-17 Nov. 7, 2012, at Joint Base Charleston – Air Base, S.C. Hartford congratulated several members of the group with command coins. The maintenance team, led by Master Sgt. Charles Johnson of the 437th AMXS (second from left), showed outstanding dedication and perseverance and spent more than 600 man hours repairing a C-17 with an extensive history of cargo door pressurization problems. Hartford specifically addressed the group’s excellent work ethic, immaculate attention to detail and exceptional team work with the Boeing Company since the arrival of the first C-17.
