Joint Base Charleston Available Services (Updated 18 September 2020)

Based on the guidance from the DeCA, Joint Base Charleston Commissary has rescinded two COVID-19 measures.

1. Guests are now permitted to accompany authorized patrons in the commissary.
2. 100% ID checks are no longer required. EXCEPTION: The Naval Weapons Station commissary will continue with 100% ID checks.

Please continue to practice the prevention measures already in place such as, face coverings, proper hygiene, and social distancing.

New Updates:

  • Air Base Fitness Center lockerrooms/showers are open as of September 17
  • Base access for visitors no longer require signatures from their leadership. A valid ID and approved personnel worksheet from the Visitor Control center are required. Trusted Travel program remains suspended. Please call the VCC at (843) 963-5729 for more information
  • Dine-in service now available at the Golf Course
  • Starting September 8, the Air Base fitness center is open to Active-Duty, Reserve, Guard, & DoD civilians Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Starting September 13, the Air Base fitness center is open to everyone Sunday (16 years and older) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Air Base side ONLY).
  • Starting 8 Sep: Weapons Station (Sam's Fitness Center) is open to Active-Duty, Reserve, Guard, & DoD civilians Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Starting September 12, Sam’s Fitness Center is open to everyone Saturday (16 years and older) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Weapons Station side ONLY)
  • Lodging Space-A Reservations – 1 September
    • Reservations for September and beyond can be made immediately

  • NEX Panda Express: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. daily
  • NEX Blimpie: open 24 hrs daily
  • NEX Café at NPTU: 6 a.m.-2 p.m. daily (carry-out services only)
  • NEX Bald Monkey: Tue-Fri 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sat-Sun 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Weapons Station Galley (eligible patrons) – continue normal operations
  • Hunt privatized housing maintenance - routine maintenance services returned
    • Mon-Fri 8 a.m.-5 p.m. – Note: Community center doors will be locked, one person in the office at a time and must wear protective face covering to enter
  • Balfour Beatty privatized housing - routine maintenance services resumed
    • Office hours: Mon-Fri 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. – Note: Office doors are locked, but staff is available to support customers and can be reached by phone or email
  • Air Base and Weapons Station Golf Courses - (all eligible patrons)
    • Normal golf operations daily for both Air Base and Weapons Station; 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
