JB Charleston Naval Health Clinic prepares for Navy-wide COVID-19 testing
July 17, 2020 — As the COVID-19 virus continues to spread around the world, medical professionals at Joint Base Charleston are taking preventative measures in an attempt to slow down the spread. Hospital corpsmen at the JB Charleston Naval Health Clinic are training on how to administer a COVID-19 swab test in order for more testers to be ready to perform more tests on patients and Sailors. ... According to Josh Mayes, 628th Air Base Wing historian, history is always in motion. “History for me is not a dusty subject that sits on a bookshelf, but is more of a dynamic field of study,” he said. “History, contrary to some people's belief, is very dynamic and is literally changing constantly.” People often think of historians as people who study the past, or a particular period of time, and document their findings based on evidence and facts. ... April 15, 2020 — As members of Joint Base Charleston continue to execute Air Mobility Command’s mission during a global pandemic, an innovation team here seeks ways to minimize health risks associated with COVID-19. The innovation team, Palmetto Spark, is comprised of Airmen from across Joint Base Charleston, and their mission is to enable Airmen to solve problems they face day-to-day.
