Tech. Sgt. Shane Thaxton, a loadmaster assigned to the 15th Airlift Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, S.C., guides a Halverson loader off of a C-17 Globemaster III at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (NSGB), Cuba, Nov. 12, 2020.  The 15th AS flew an off-station trainer to NSGB to deliver two Halverson loaders and bring two Halverson loaders back to Charleston. The aircrew also conducted airfield and low-level training at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, the Florida Keys, Lakeland Linder International Airport and Patrick Air Force Base. Two Airmen, assigned to the 628th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, repaired two loaders before they were loaded onto the jet.

Palmetto Challenge: Total Force Readiness

Palmetto Challenge is a global mobilization exercise held at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, S.C. The exercise is held in order to develop readiness and awareness in a simulated deployed environment for over 100 Airmen from Joint Base Charleston.
