JB Charleston participates in Feds Feed Families

Charleston, S.C. (Jul 17, 2017) Petty Officer 2nd Class Christopher Bradford, Naval Support Activity administrative assistant, donates canned food in support of Feds Feed Families at the All Saints Chapel on Joint Base Charleston - Weapons Station. Feds Feed Families was created to help food banks and pantries stay stocked during summer months when they traditionally see a decrease in donations and an increase in need.

Robert Hudson, Naval Support Activity Charleston, commander. MAP authorizes Commanding Officers (COs) to advance eligible personnel in paygrades E3, E4, and E5 to the next higher pay grade. The program is intended to give COs and the command triad the opportunity to recognize their best Sailors by advancing them when they are ready for the next level of responsibility.

PAX Terminal to undergo renovations

Col. Jimmy Canlas, 437th Airlift Wing commander, swings a sledgehammer to start construction of the new 437th Aerial Port Squadron Passenger Terminal here, Feb. 23, 2017. The passenger terminal is being renovated to improve the facility by adding a new fire suppression system, roof, utility systems, restrooms inside the gated area and a redesigned family room. The passenger terminal will operate out of a temporary facility until construction is complete. Signage is in place to direct passengers and base personnel from the old terminal to the temporary location.
