Personal Firearms: The concealed carry of firearms (including, but not limited to, in bags, purses, or on person) is strictly prohibited on all areas of Joint Base Charleston. This prohibition extends to portions of the Naval Weapons Station outside of designated Installation Access Control Points (IACPs) and the Short Stay recreational area. Privately Owned Firearms (POFs) are authorized for transport only directly between an IACP and an approved on-base storage location. No other transport or possession of POFs is permitted.

Installation Sponsorship: DoD-affiliated personnel sponsoring visitors onto Joint Base Charleston assume full responsibility for the actions of their guests. Sponsors are required to verify the visitor's purpose for accessing the installation and must remain with their guests at all times while on base. All visitors must present valid proof of identity for vetting and pass issuance. Failure to comply with these sponsorship requirements may result in disciplinary action.
