Airman 1st Class Cory Klingener, a conventional maintenance crew member  assigned to the 437th Maintenance Squadron, replaces flares in a flare set, July 20, 2020, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The flares are used on aircraft in order to attempt to divert attention when the aircraft is believed to be in danger. This is just one task the munitions flight has to perform, other tasks include flightline support, base support, and NASA and SpaceX support.
