Airman 1st Class Hunter Banks, 628th Security Forces installation entry controller, holds a package of cookies given to him by a base visitor as thanks for working during the holidays Dec. 30, 2014, at Joint Base Charleston S.C. The 628th SFS defends all assets and personnel on JB Charleston, even during the holiday season when many Airmen and Sailors are taking time off. During the holidays, SFS forces switch to 12-hour shifts instead of their usual eight, and divide their duties into two elements to allow their personnel time off for the holidays. One element works the week of Christmas and the other element works the week of New Years. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Jared Trimarchi)
