JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA —

ESPN2’s First Take kicks off ESPN’s week of Veteran’s Day programming with a live telecast from Joint Base Charleston on Monday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m. ET.

Stephen A. Smith, Max Kellerman and host Molly Qerim will be joined by Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Darius Rucker. A live audience of JB Charleston service members will be present as the hosts discuss the sports topics of the day.

“Veteran’s Day is one of our favorite shows every year,” said coordinating producer Antoine Lewis. “We think is important to honor America’s military men and women. It is also a great experience for us to interact and entertain the troops. It will be a great scene at Joint Base Charleston.”

Joint Base Charleston is one of 12 Department of Defense joint bases and its primary mission consists of six different focus areas: installation support, airlift and airdrop operations, training naval nuclear operators, deployable logistics, multi-mission warfighter support and inter-agency cooperation.

With more than 60 Department of Defense and Federal agencies, Team Charleston comprises Air Force, Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Homeland Security and other DOD missions—all working together in the global fight against terrorism and for the spread of world peace.

The command’s vision is to be the most respected joint team working together to form the launch point for the nation’s resolve.
