Trains transporting U.S. Army equipment between Fort Hood, Texas and Joint Base Charleston to continue through May 6

U.S. Army equipment assigned to 1st Cavalry Division units from Fort Hood, Texas, began transport by commercial trains between Fort Hood and Joint Base Charleston Apr. 29 and is scheduled to continue through May 6 to support unit readiness training.

Trains will impact commercial travel on Remount Road, Virginia Avenue, East Montague and Noisette Boulevard. Traffic will be impacted around Virginia Avenue and Remount Road while trains travel into and out of Joint Base Charleston. Delays of up to 30 - 45 minutes can be expected. Due to train transportation operations, a train schedule is not available.
