Military convoys between Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina beginning Feb. 8

FORT BRAGG, N.C. —

82nd Airborne Division units will be conducting convoy training during the month of February from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, and their convoys may impact traffic.

 

Service members are scheduled to convoy between Fort Bragg to Joint Base Charleston Feb. 8.

 

The scheduled convoy times are Feb. 8, from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m., and Feb. 9, from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.

 

Approximately 80 military vehicle convoy will use Interstate 95, Interstate 26 and Remount Road.

 

Motorists are advised to be alert, drive safe, to not enter the convoy between vehicles and use caution when passing a convoy in approved areas. The North/South Carolina Highway Patrol will escort the convoys.

 

Fort Bragg Military Police are working closely with local authorities and military units to coordinate this activity in support of unit training.
