Airmen who are part of the NASA human space flight loadmaster team assigned to the 144th Airlift Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska pose for a photo after loading a Joint Base Charleston C-17 Globemaster III for launch July 31st, 2020 at the JB Charleston flightline, S.C. C-17s from JB Charleston are a part of the NASA human space flight program. As a precautionary measure, U.S. Space Command and the U.S. Air Force assigned teams of search and rescue professionals to stand alert ahead of the launch at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina; Patrick Air Force Base, Florida; and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The teams are comprised of Pararescuemen, Combat Rescue Officers, and Aircrew Flight Equipment specialists.
