CDC expands childcare capabilities
JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - Vivian Gadson, 628th Force Support Squadron flight chief of fleet and family services, shows one of the new pre-toddler rooms to Col. Terrence Adams, 628th Air Base Wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Todd Cole, 628th Air Base Wing command chief, during a tour after the ribbon cutting ceremony for the expansion of the child development center at the Joint Base Charleston Air Base, S.C. The 628th FSS CDC reopened several rooms and hired eight more staff members, allowing them to care for 74 additional infants, pre-toddlers, toddlers and preschoolers. The expansion on the CDC will help family members here by increasing available childcare services and resources, contributing to the overall quality of life for the Air Force and civilian families and enhancing Air Force readiness.
