JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - Joe Engel, Holocaust survivor, tells his story of being in concentration camps to an audience of Airmen as part of Holocaust Remembrance Week May 2, 2019, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. Engel was born in Poland in 1927 and was only 14 when he was taken from his parents to Nazi concentration camps. Engel tells his story in hopes that tragedies like these will never be forgotten and will never happen again.
