JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - Chief Master Sgt. Michael Cole, 628th Air Base Wing command chief, carries a fuel hose during a forward area refueling point team tryout March 26, 2019, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The FARP is a specialized set of Airmen who operate in austere environments at deployed locations, providing fueling points to various rotary and fixed wing aircraft. The tryouts required the Airmen to finish a refuel scenario in a fixed amount of time to qualify for official training. The 628th ABW commander and command chief both took part in the tryouts in order to get to know Airmen and their jobs more personally.
