Mount Pleasant, S.C. - Master Sgt. Ron Williams of the 437th Maintenance Group at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. guides the wheel assembly onto the inner brake assembly of a B-25 bomber—a very slow and tedious process. When the tires on the B-25 at the Patriots Point Maritime Museum in Mount Pleasant, S.C., needed replacement in February 2019, members of JBC volunteered their time and used their knowledge of C-17 Globemaster III tire maintenance to create a successful method of changing the tires on the World War II-era plane.
