JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - Sailors demonstrate the survival float during a second-class swim qualification test Oct. 19, 2018, at the Danny Jones Recreational Center, North Charleston, S.C. The qualification consists of a 100-yard swim demonstrating the crawl stroke, breast stroke, side stroke and elementary backstroke, a deep water jump going into a five minute survival float and a transition to a back float before exiting the pool.
