CHARLESTON, S.C. - Matt Quiy, left, pilot, and Roger Van Ranst, right, flight mechanic, stand by the B-25J “Miss Mitchell,” April 26, 2018, on the flightline at Charleston International Airport. The Mitchell bomber was the first Army airplane to sink an enemy submarine, fly from a carrier deck, pack a 75-mm cannon and to see action on every fighting front.
