Schwartz and her staff met with Coast Guard and NHCC leaders before touring the health care facility. Bennet, Flores and two other Coast Guard health service technicians are embedded at NHCC to provide medical and dental care for Coast Guard personnel and their families stationed at Sector Charleston. Schwartz is responsible for the Coast Guard's health care system of 41 clinics and 150 sick bays, as well as, operational and off-duty mishap prevention, response and investigation. Schwartz oversees the Coast Guard's child care programs and food services delivery programs, ashore and afloat and the Coast Guard's Ombudsman, Substance Abuse, Health Promotion and Sexual Assault Prevention and Response programs.
