JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - Military Working Dog Shark, 628th Security Forces Squadron, rests on stage of the MWD retirement ceremony Feb. 23, 2018, at the base theater. The retirement ceremony includes presentation of the meritorious service medal, retirement pin and a bone presentation. This retirement ceremony honored three of Joint Base Charleston’s MWDs – MWD Shark, who served 10 years as a narcotic detection dog, MWD Chico, who served for about six years as a patrol and explosive detection dog, and MWD Jaga, who served five years as a patrol and explosive detection dog – for their valued service.
