JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - Retired U.S. Marine Corps Col. Robert Mastrion, a Silver Star recipient, addresses the audience on board the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point during the 76th Pearl Harbor Memorial Day Ceremony Dec. 7, 2017. Mastrion discussed how the results of World War II still impact the international community. The service, organized by Patriots Point staff in coordination with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10624, included a wreath laying, tolling of a bell and 21 gun salute in memory of each of the 25 known South Carolina service members who were killed during the attack.
