JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - U.S. Air Force Col. Jeffrey Nelson, vice commander of the 437th Airlift Wing, runs the POW/MIA flag at the Air Base fitness center September 15, 2016, at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina. Every year, members from the base participate in a 24-hour vigil run, a luncheon to honor prisoners of war and those that are missing in action, as well as a formal retreat ceremony.
