A KC-10 Extender gets into position to provide an aerial refueling to a C-17 Globemaster III during Exercise Swift Response June 7, 2016. Aircraft from across Air Mobility Command provided airlift and in-flight refueling capabilities for the exercise. In addition to participating in Exercise Swift Response, AMC air crews tested the capability of refueling a C-17 formation using a mix of tankers. Until this test, different types of tankers had never been used together because of the difference in air speed each one requires to perform a refueling. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. William A.
