Airman 1st Class Michael Gibbs-Forde, an aircrew flight equipment journeyman with the 437th Operations Support Squadron, assists Airman 1st Class Matthew Link, a C-17 loadmaster with the 16th Airlift Squadron, at a Crescent Reach 15 decontamination station May 20, 2015, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. This local exercise, which tested and evaluated Joint Base Charleston's ability to launch a large aircraft formation in addition to processing and deploying duty passengers and cargo in response to a simulated crisis abroad from May 18-21, 2015. Deploying members' ability to survive and operate in deployed environments was also exercise through Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Explosives training and evaluation events.
