A US Airways Express aircraft taxis down an active runway as contractors work to rebuild runway 03/21 at Charleston AFB May 26. The runway construction is part of a $30 million project to completely replace the deteriorating runway. The runway is being rebuilt using concrete rather than asphalt to allow for a longer life span. The last major repair done on runway 03/21 was in 1968. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
