Col. Richard McComb greets Secretary of the Air Force Michael Donley, while

Charleston, S.C., Oct. 18. The Secretary of the Air Force is responsible for the affairs of the Department of the Air Force, including organizing,  training, equipping and providing for the welfare of nearly 370,000 men and  women on active duty, 180,000 members of the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve, and 160,000 civilians and their families.  With an annual budget of approximately $119 billion, the secretary ensures the Air Force can meet its current and future operational requirements. McComb is the 628th Air Base Wing Commander, Hansen is the 437th Airlift Wing Commander and Lawrence is the 315th Operations Group Commander. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Chrissy Best)
