Tricia Hoffman, wife of Staff Sgt. Justin Hoffman, 15th Airlift Squadron loadmaster, 437th Airlift Wing, throws a ball to her three-year-old son Hunter at a Joint Base Charleston – Air Base park April 14. Hunter was recently diagnosed with moderate to severe classical autism. He struggles with speaking, understanding directions and transitioning from one task to the next. Hunter may struggle with simple tasks due to his autism, but he is very coordinated for his age and is able to retain large amounts of information.
