Department of Homeland Security recognizes NAVCONBRIG employee's contributions

Department of Homeland Security representatives Scott Peek and Mark Boswell present a silver coin to Wes Atkinson, Naval Consolidated Brig Charleston sign shop supervisor, recognizing his many contributions to the DHS mission over the past decade Sept. 22, 2016 here. Atkinson trains prisoners in graphic design enabling them to earn Department of Labor certifications. Atkinson's design skills, project procurement knowledge and student prisoner workforce have saved the DHS over $400,000 in design and labor costs over the past 10 years.
