JB Charleston raises awareness of Child Abuse Prevention Month

Joint Base Charleston hosted a luncheon to raise awareness of Child Abuse Prevention Month at the Charleston Club, April 26, 2016. Jason Bowen, a Charleston County Sherriff's Office Special Victims Unit detective, was the guest speaker. Bowen gave advice to the parents of JB Charleston on how to prevent children from becoming victims of cyber predators. The luncheon program also included the singing of the national anthem, a poem and the introduction of the guest speaker by several children from the JB Charleston community.
