Warrior of the Week: Staff Sgt. Brian Francis

437th Aerial Port Squadron

Staff Sgt. Brian Francis is a passenger travel journeyman with the 437th Aerial Port Squadron and has been stationed at Charleston AFB for four years.

As a passenger travel journeyman, he supervises daily passenger travel operations. He also advises military members, eligible civilians and family members on passenger travel allowances and arranges travel to overseas locations.

He contributes to Team Charleston's mobility mission by coordinating transportation to the area of responsibility for military members and civilian employees requiring official government travel arrangements.

This "Warrior of the Week" hails from Charleston and enlisted in the Air Force thirteen years ago. He joined the Air Force because his father recommended it to him so he could have a good life experience.

"I like my job because I get to meet, see and interact with many different people from different walks of life," said Sergeant Francis.

Some of his future goals include earning his bachelor's degree and starting his own business.

"Sergeant Francis is always professional, courteous and committed to the mission and being an effective leader," said Master Sgt. Angela Burch, 437 APS Traffic Management Flight superintendent. "He takes advantage of every opportunity to mentor young Airmen and is quick to lend a helping hand where it's needed."
