CHARLESTON AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. –
Thursday, 61 Charleston Airmen were selected for promotion to master sergeant and 95 were selected for technical sergeant.
This year, 24,115 Airmen were eligible for promotion to master sergeant, and 6,002 were selected -- an Air Force wide selection percentage rate of 24.89 percent. The Air Mobility Command rate was 25.13 percent and the base rate was 20.13 percent.
The number of Airmen eligible for promotion to technical sergeant was 39,797, and 7,314 were selected. The Air Force selection rate was 18.38 percent. The AMC rate was 17.06 percent and the base rate was 19.75 percent
